What is a Phantom Electric Ghost?
Keith better known by his stage name Phantom Electric Ghost or alter ego Josephine Electric, is a dedicated electronic musician and producer, hailing from Concord, New Hampshire. Phantom Electric Ghost is a one-person band that has been his vehicle for expressing sounds and concepts that Jones calls Expansive Sound Experiments or sound paintings. Jones is a cancer survivor who overcame a level 3 Sarcoma in 1997.
In 2016 we started the Phantom Electric Ghost podcast on the Sparemin platform. Started initially from an interview with New York’s “Rock Tunes” we then expanded to interviewing emerging and independent musicians world wide. Since 2016 we have expanded to Anchor.fm, StreamYard, Swell, and Wisdom. Over 800 episodes since 2018 we now interview, life coaches, mentors, CEOs, film makers, authors, Shamans or anyone we find with a compelling story.
Our podcast is featured on Newsly.me and can be found on all podcast platforms including Spotify VideoPodcasts, and Apple Podcasts.
2019, PEG released on his indie label Expansive Sound Experiments “The Flower That Blooms at Midnight in the Tomb” and synthwave and experimental album created almost entirely on the Teenage Engineering OP-Z multimedia synthesizer and sequencer.
Phantom Electric Ghost has collaborated with artists such as Chernobello.com (for the cover of the album II Infinitum in 2017) and ALT+CTRL+K (Kiri Margaros) on the same project. Deeply influenced by progressive rockers such as Emerson Lake and Palmer, Genesis, and YES; PEG is also rooted in New Romantic (New Wave), Jazz(Sun Ra), and Funk (Prince, Parliament Funkadelic, and Sly and Family Stone). This diverse mix of genres is what makes up Expansive Sound and why Phantom Electric Ghost a unique musical endeavor.
In 2022 we release the 2 hour Expansive Sound Album PEG4EVER a collection of stream of consciousness sound paintings and experiences from an aborted project called “Catfish & The Hard Boyz” .
2023 started with the release of the singles: “Pimp Scarlett” and “Funk Pop”
On February 10th we release 1st album for 2023 the Erotic and Carnal inspire Punk Aesthetic and New Wave hybrid album “Trash Wave”
